Omexom completes construction of the Alcochete solar project, now in operation

Omexom in Portugal has finalized the construction of the Alcochete photovoltaic plant, developed by Hyperion, whose grid connection was recently completed. This project is part of a series of photovoltaic plants contracted between the two entities in 2024, as part of a broader collaboration for the development of solar capacity in Portugal.

With an installed capacity of 20.44 MWp, distributed across 20 Small Production Units (UPPs), the project contributes to strengthening renewable energy production and diversifying generation sources within the national grid.
Under this Full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract, Omexom assumed integrated responsibility for all project phases, from engineering and equipment supply to the construction, commissioning, and entry into operation of the photovoltaic plant.

The grid connection represents a decisive moment in the project lifecycle, reflecting the execution and coordination capabilities between teams and partners, which are essential to ensuring an effective transition from construction to operation.
