Omexom completes construction of the Alcochete solar project, now in operation

Omexom in Portugal has finalized the construction of the Alcochete photovoltaic plant, developed by Hyperion, whose grid connection was recently completed. This project is part of a series of photovoltaic plants contracted between the two entities in 2024, as part of a broader collaboration for the development of solar capacity in Portugal.

With an installed capacity of 20.44 MWp, distributed across 20 Small Production Units (UPPs), the project contributes to strengthening renewable energy production and diversifying generation sources within the national grid.
Under this Full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract, Omexom assumed integrated responsibility for all project phases, from engineering and equipment supply to the construction, commissioning, and entry into operation of the photovoltaic plant.

This project demonstrates Omexom’s capability to deliver photovoltaic solutions on an EPC basis with high quality and safety standards, ensuring all critical phases through to grid connection. Consistency in execution and coordination between teams were pivotal in turning this project into an operational reality.
